COLOR STUDIES

of the ZYMOGLYPHIC REGION

Inspired by the Zymoglyphic Museum in Portland, Oregon, these monoprints and corresponding text depict the museum contents through abstract color studies and show the beautiful decay of all things over time, a main tenet of Zymoglyphic theory. Eight of the museum's exhibits are represented, each in three stages. The images below are some examples of the decaying stratifications of pigment and self-entwined poetic text from this series. These were first shown in September of 2021 at 1122 Gallery in Portland, OR.

The book of all twenty-four images is available here.
